Key Retaining - All Abus Padlocks can be ordered with "Key Retaining", which means that the lock retains the key until it is fully closed. This way the worker will never leave a lock open by accident. If the lock is opened, the key can only be turned up to a certain point (see picture). After that, the cylinder will block and thus the key cannot be removed.

Key Stamping - All Abus Locks can be ordered with Key Stamping, which can include numbers and/or Letters.

Key Charting - Key Charting is available for Keyed Different (KD), Keyed Alike (KA), and Master Keyed (MK) Locks. How it Works: When additional Key Charts are purchased Abus will check all end-users v is its proprietary charting software to see all past orders. All key codes that have been shipped in the past are automatically excluded from production. There are over 40,000 unique codes available and, once a new charting system is established, all codes are double-checked before being entered.
